The Road to Orlando

This winter we field two competitive flag football teams, 11U and 13U. They train indoors from November to mid-February, host two tournaments of our own, and finish at Nationals in Orlando.

The rostered fee covers a game uniform, which players keep, plus every practice and our tournament entry fees. Alternates practice with the team all winter and get a practice shirt, but they don't play in tournaments. There's no Saturday practice on tournament weekends. Fees are collected after tryouts.

Fall Tackle

Full-contact football in The League

Every fall we field a full-contact tackle team in The League, a Metro-area AYFL conference. The season opens in late August with 6 conference games and up to 3 playoff games, plus scrimmages and non-conference games. Games are played on high school turf at Bloomington Kennedy and St. Thomas Academy. Registration for the 2027 season opens next summer.

Frequently asked questions

Is 612 Promise just a fall program?

No. Fall is our tackle season. From November to February we play competitive flag football, with tournaments in the Twin Cities and at Nationals in Orlando. Flag is low- to no-contact and keeps players sharp and conditioned, so 612 Promise players stay on the field all year.

What's the difference between a rostered player and an alternate?

Rostered players (10 per team) practice, get a game uniform, and play in every tournament. Alternates (up to 5 per team) practice with the team all winter and get a practice shirt, but they don't play in tournaments. Being an alternate is a great way to train with the team and get ready for next season.

What if we can't afford the fee?

Need-based scholarships are available. Contact us and we'll work it out privately.

What if I can't travel, but my kid can?

For local practices and events, our two 12-passenger vans and organized carpools get players there. For the trip to Nationals in Orlando, families travel with their player. Talk to us early if that's a challenge.

What is The League?

The League is a full-contact youth football conference under AYFL (American Youth Football League) and one of the strongest travel conferences in the Twin Cities. Players get league-wide stat tracking, leaderboards and individual awards, plus championship rings and trophies. We also play non-conference games against other top Twin Cities programs.
